I don't feel thankful & I don't like what I'm seeing...
One of my favorite holidays is coming...Thanksgiving!
But, what if I don't feel thankful?
Things aren't going as I expected today.
My car is having issues.
I don't know what to cook for supper.
I'm not sure what is safe to eat these days.
So and so upset me.
The world is falling apart...
Sound familiar? Yes, I've had those thoughts and I know I'm not alone.
Here's a little trick that helps me...shhhhh, try this experiment for a day and see what happens.
Remedy: Think of 3 positives to replace every negative!
- My car is having issues -----> My husband is working on it. I do have other transportation at the moment. I'm glad I don't have to buy a new car yet.
- I don't know what to cook -----> I can look in a cookbook. I can try a new recipe. I'm glad for my friend's ideas.
- I'm not sure what is safe to eat -----> I know my local farmer grows healthy food for me. I can research it. I am happy for what I DO have.
- So and so upset me -----> She is such a creative person. She has a nice smile. She loves her cat. I actually chose to get upset. I don't have to do that next time.
- The world is falling apart -----> God is in control. I can make a positive difference where I am. I'm glad I have a really nice friend, farmer, spouse, etc.
It's more fun to be grateful!
