How to Plant Positive "Seeds of Change" in Your Day

Do you ever feel like you goofed up? Like, maybe you said something unkind in the heat of the moment, acted annoyed over something petty, ate what you felt like instead of keeping to your diet, or planted the wrong "seeds", even at the wrong time?

Well, you aren't alone. It happens to all of us.

Yup, you reap what you sow. This week, it became quite evident on a tray of microgreens. Half of it had NOTHING growing. Hmmm, why? It got over watered on one side of the tray and those poor little seeds just drowned!

We can do the same with our words. We can "over water" with too much correction and blurt out all our frustration instead of focusing on planting good seed gently and carefully.

Weed seeds pop up so naturally. Good seed DOES take some careful attention to make them grow well.

You really wish someone wasn't so _______. Or, you wish they would just be more _______. Nagging doesn't work. More water doesn't work.

Pro Tips for Planting "Seeds of Change" in Your Day

1. Replace the resentful or negative thought with the opposite, positive trait you want to see.

For example, instead of thinking in your mind, "he just doesn't care about me," replace it with, "he is so caring." You are planting positive seeds in your mind and the other person's mind. Stop growing negativity.

2. Look for any evidence of the new trait.

This nurtures the seeds of change to grow. For example, he fixed my washing machine for me, he went to work today, he smiled at me, he picked up my mail, etc.

3. Even thank the person for at least one of the items today.

"Wow, thanks for getting the mail. You are so caring." Watch those seeds grow!!! You just try it this week and see. I'd love to hear how your experiment grows. (:

And how does this relate to growing good food for you? It's just one of those handy life lessons that are REAL delicious.

Let's keep growing!
